Stock market under pressure in early trade, Sensex and Nifty decline
Domestic stock markets were trading under pressure amid fluctuations during early trading today. Today's trading started under pressure. Selling pressure increased as the market opened and both stock market indices fell sharply in the first 15 minutes of trading. however, after half an hour of trading, the market began buying, which showed some improvement in market conditions. After the first hour of trading, the Sensex was trading 0.20 per cent weaker and the Nifty was trading 0.21 per cent weaker.

After the first hour of trading, stock market heavyweights Hindalco Industries , Kotak Mahindra , Bajaj Auto , Infosys and Mahindra & Mahindra were trading with gains of between 0.78 per cent and 0.32 per cent .
Apollo Hospitals, Trent Ltd, Larsen & Toubro, Ultratech Cement and Grasim Industries fell 1.98 per cent to 1.34 per cent.
So far 2327 stocks were being actively traded on the stock market. Of these, 1,121 stocks traded in the green with gains, while 1,206 stocks traded in the red with losses. Similarly, nine of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex remained in the green zone with buying support. On the other hand, 21 stocks were trading in the red due to selling pressure. Of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 11 are trading in the green mark and 39 in the red mark.
The BSE Sensex rose 57.72 points to open at 78,206.21. as trading resumed, the index slipped into the red zone due to selling pressure. The Sensex fell to 77,846.43 points in the first 15 minutes of trading on continued selling. However, there was a slight improvement in the position of this index due to the subsequent resumption of buying. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, the Sensex was trading at the level of 77,991.19 points with a weakness of 157.30 points at 10:15 am.
Against the Sensex, the NSE Nifty fell 14.20 points to 23,674.75. As the market opened, the index fell to a level of 23,593.95 points in the first 15 minutes of trading due to selling pressure. however, thereafter, there was a slight improvement in the condition of this index as well due to buying support. The Nifty fell 50.80 points to 23,638.15 at 10:15 am after an initial hour of trading amid continuous trading in the market.
Earlier, the Sensex lost 50.62 points, or 0.06 per cent, at 78,148.49 in the last trading day on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Nifty fell 18.95 points, or 0.08 per cent, to end at 23,688.95 in trading on Wednesday.
